NDP Rehearsal yesterday. My heart went out to the poor NSFs on duty.

Grand Copthorne Hotel

Shot in the day with ND110. Two exposures at ISO 100 and f/16 for 8 and 25 seconds, to expose for sky and building, and manually blended.

At first, the clouds were good but by the time I waited for the van driver to drive out of the lot, so I can park my tripod in his lot to take the shot, the clouds have moved.

Nice light here. Can do with a bit more contrast/structure imho. :)

If the clouds are moving, can do a super long exposure. :)

Something different. Been wanting to do Boat Quay and how to do. After a disappointing sunrise on Sunday, went over to Boat Quay to do this. The colour cast was quite bad though.

Keppel Bay Bridge. Evening.

Passed by this area randomly while feeling quite lost in the process of making my way to Vivo City on foot. I've never come across this place, and I found that it leads to Pulau Keppel. I've got no idea what is that place, only saw a few expensive cars zooming past.

Pulau Keppel is where you can get a good view of Reflections @ Keppel Bay (see link). Also not a bad place for picnic if you don't mind the sun... And yes, the property around the area is not cheap!

I was actually thinking of how to shoot the Reflection while being lost in that area! The yatch was posing a problem (there was a lot that day and parked over a huge area) and it was already slightly more than half an hour past sunset, so I thought I'd get the bridge first, then come back another day to shoot the Reflection and do a light trail on the keppel bridge. Its really quite an interesting structure for a house!

You need to cross the bridge, and go to the side... Anyways, have fun exploring... I finally went there for the first time recently after many many years since it opened... :)

Fiftymm99 in Flickr has quite a few good shots of the area. You can look at his stream for compositional ideas (though I do prefer the one I linked best - as a side note, I don't think he requires credit of any sort, if you wish to know).

Don't ask me why it is always Shenton Way and CBD. I happen to be around MBS quite often lately.

Wanted to go shoot sunrise this morning but when the alarm went off, it was raining cats and dogs outside. So back to lalaland.

Sharing a shot from last weekend.

Havelock View.

Woke up today wanting to shoot sunrise at Keppel Bay but it was raining. Evening time I was going to be nowhere near that area also. Thus I went somewhere nearer to home to shoot. Redo the same scene done in April after moving in.

Two exposures blended manually to expose for sky and buildings. No filters used.

Around the Bend

Yesterday sunset. Decided Keppel Bay was too far so thought of this place which I passed by so many times and thought of doing this. Not an easy shot. Single exposure, no filters used. Traffic was sadly not heavy today, unlike how congested it can often get at this part of the road.

Valley Point. Sky colour was pretty intense that day.

Nice series, I like your composition style especially on the first page.
