Hmm... I believe our CS bird photographers have a higher sense of ethnics that they would not resort to such tactics to get the shot.

Probably there are other photographers out there who do these kind of posed shots, like moving or even breaking off branches to get a clean shot, startle the birds into flying so that they get a flying off shot. :nono::thumbsd:

For bird photography, or for that matter, any nature photography, you have to be there at the right moment to make the shot. A lot of times, it can be setting up, looking and waiting for the subjects to show up. And sometimes, you can be there the entire whole morning or afternoon and not get any shots at all. :bsmilie:

Thanks Richard, didn't see anyone plant worms, the pitta got it somewhere after searching for some time. This place seems to have plenty of food supply!

So nice !
It is quite amazing that Nikon V2 series can produce images as good as micro four third or other APS-C mirrorless camera.

full agreed... I own a V2 too but have yet to get shots like that.

I am a bit dated with m4/3, my last one being E-P3.

IMHO the Nikon 1 series surpassed m4/3, in IQ and handling. AF in m4/3 was pathetic! And E-P3 was advertised as fastest AF in the world.

No experience with APSc mirrorless.

Thanks for sharing Chris. Waa, it looks nice and sharp ( #2 Grey Crowned Crane - V2 + 70-200mm @195mm).

I have been thinking to get a V2 for shooting birds because the crop factor & much lighter too.
