loudhailer said:I juz got a d70 set over the weekend. when i put on the hoya uv filter 67s (there's a 's' at the end)...and shoot some pictures...there is vignetting at both 18mm and 70mm.
anybody knows why? vignetting at 18mm I can understand...but at 70mm???
John Teoh said:Heard from another member that there is this problem with the 18-70mm lens. It is regardless you are at 18 or 70mm.
Cheers

espn said:No, no extra charges for CC used.
I believe it's light falloff and not vignetting. Step up to f/8 and shoot the same scene again and you'll see.
I have used the 18-70DX with a UV filter before and haven't encountered vignetting.

Longman7788 said:Their promotion "was" valid only from 10~13 Mar, I think. :bsmilie:
If you try today, there will be no CF and Bag. according to the salesperson.
I won't know but a lot of people were wowed by it, but all say think about it. AFAIK, I only talk to the people who were touching them when they talked to me first. Because some just want to try and touch the cam, so I let the interested ones talk to me.active said:I was there yesterdayGuess maybe they don't think I will buy or I look like "carrot cake"
Anywayz D70 is a cool, I don't have time to play with it as much as I would have love to ... have to wait till I'm back.

Did managed to talk to a few photographers, had a hearty session talking about the same sentiments & thinkings we had for photography & Nikon, solved a lot of issues with selections on the D70 and how good it can go, well I heard Nikon took my portrait shots went to Canon there and did A3 prints but the color were offSigh.
Oh well... you should buy.![]()
loudhailer said:juz spoke to nikon people...they say that its a lens characteristic...lowering shutter speed will help.
biped said:Why would shutter speed affect the light fall-off? I think the lens has been pushed to the limit at largest aperture and results in the light fall-off. There is always a trade off between quality and price. Nevertheless, I like the sharpness of this lens which I have just gotten together with D70+70-300mm (from CP) and did not regret buying them.
