urm..Price for F100 is even more scary... F80 is definitely worth this price... Look at the specs and features and you will NOT regret buying this gem... and not forgetting MB-16... ;)

yeah I know... But I ran out of money now... :P
F80 is definitly a nice camera.F100?? I rather prefer to top up some more to get F5 or F6 instead. For me, F80 draws a good balance against price and functions.

Now I just cannot make up my mind for the back.. F80/F80d/F80s, the different back makes the price damn different... the s back costs about 300 more..

Just wait for a while and prepare some money for it.. :D

mmmm....IMHO... I don't think the data back justifies for the extra $300++... not even the date version cos I don't like the date input (for me) to be in the pics... ;)

Well, hope you can get your cam soon and start the shooting craze... Cheers..

if you ran out of money, you shouldn't be buying a camera body ;p consider used bodies too. there're good bargains around.

Not really man... You misunderstand the function. It will not print into the pics..
Instead, it will print between the frames. You can see the data on neg only..

Go Nikon website and check it out, that is cool..

But... that is 300+ extra...really hard to decide..

Hehe, reason for out of money is because I need to buy lens for my D70...so this is just my shopping plan pending... Might be go for films at the end of this year...

That is really different taste for shooting digital pics and films.. :D

I may go crazy, like this surely no saving for the following few months... :(

Ha..i know that... What i meant is the "D" i.e date version... of course you can turn that function off too...

my point is ---> the normal model (F80) is good enough... ;)

LOL..then need to bring along a small notebook to record down all the shutter and aperture values.... Hmm.... 300+ can buy 300 notebooks!

anybody know the latest price for new d70 body only?

Hi everyone! i am a newbie here.... currently taking Basic photography in my poly course.... but i am really interested in photography... but firstly i am gonna learn to use the cam from my lecturer.... thus i need to buy a manual cam... its either Nikon Fm2, Fm10 or F55... i am very keen to know the prices for these cams.... first hands and second hands..... please help!! haha thankz.... ;p

grab a FM2 from ebay or any shop. it's a good manual cam. BUT. nikon lenses is expensive.

may i ask wat is the reasonable range of prices for a 2nd hand FM2 body alone?
also, i notice some of the lenses that are being sold outside have fungus on them. would it cost alot to get it cleaned up? or is it diy-able?

sry for the sudden barrage of questions. :) thanks in advance!

FM2 is couple of hundred.
and dun get the limited edition will do. and the cost for u to clean the gungus is delend on the shop, and person how much they charge u,
i heard some ppls in CS said Nikon charged SG$120 to clean up.
so, u should know where to clean them :)

Anyone to help?

What's the diff bw Nikon soft-1 and soft-2?
What's thread size available?
cost of each available size?
would it be better to go for say 77mm and with step down ring for smaller thread size lenses if needed?
Then what's the cost for step down ring?
any brand preference for step down ring?

Thanks.. (many qns...)

Nikon soft filter is available in 52mm, 62mm, 72mm, 77mm(only available in #1) sizes. The soft #1 is more for potraits to give that 'dreamy' effect while soft #2 is a stronger version.
