Mentioned in the D700s thread...

No DSLR announced next week. Guessing it will be some coolpix cameras for PMA, a fast wide-angle prime (either 24/1.4 or 35/1.4) and a zoom. Plus a surprise - not sure what it is yet, but guessing it might be a large sensor compact with builtin zoom/fixed lens.

Announced later... my guesses are

D900 (18MP or greater) in march along with some more primes (either the 24/1.4 or 35/1.4 whichever isn't announced next week plus 85/1.4), mirrorless interchangeable lens camera system in june/july, D90 replacement in August, D700s (D3s sensor) in August.

akan datang

not long more

 Hope that Nikon will come out Rangefinder Camera like the
Nikon 'S', S2, S3, S4 & SP ;p

My predictions for the launch are

a couple of fast primes, and a FX body.

yours?

i was thinking of AFS 28 1.4 and the materialising of the long talked about 16-35 f4..
No body maybe..

i just hope that their surprise is not as surprising as the apple surprise

D900
AF-S 35mm f/1.4
AF-S 24-85mm f/2.8-4 VR

just to stretch it further, haha..
New DX sensor PnS
AF-S 17-55mm f/2.8-4 VR DX

I'm most likely expecting the 16-35 F4 ;)

thats wat i found also on nikon rumor website. 16-35 F4 ED VR + 24mm f1.4. I was hoping for f2.8 instead. But anyway i hope this lens is true! BBB!

usually how long it takes before the announced items reach our shores?

i was dreaming for a digital rangefinder for a long long time ... lightweight like EP1/GF1...
and it is still a dream... is it no way that Nikon will come out wit a thing like this???

hmmmm... what I understand is that they are going to release coolpix updates... Not hoping so much for DSLR.
That's a pity...

Oh, you mean the Apple I-PAD..... a joke heard over Radio.... the 64GB for Heavy Flow, 32 GB for Medium flow and 16gb for low flow.....

Anyway, kns, looking at D90 but now looks like got to hold the horse, the cow, the tiger.... and see what happen next week....

D90 successor most likely would be in August 2010 based on previous cameras. D80 was August 2006 and D90 August 2008. If they wanted to make me happier they could do the long overdue update of the 80- 400mm with faster focus and VRII. This was their first VR lens a long time ago. I am looking for some more reach than my 70- 300mm VR but not too bulky. But no rumours of that so far.

I would definitely buy the 80-400 if it gets AF-S and VR-II...

it would really be nice if they can come up with an affordable Fx body...

a replacement flash to fill the gap between sb600 to sb-900.. who knows sb600 replaces sb400 as entry level flash while a new flash replaces sb600 as mid ranged...

cheaper AFs lenses please!! And i'm hoping Nikon will make a digital version of the FM2 like Olympus EP1... ahahaha dream on!

i wish for

(a) an improvment to my current D50
(not in MP count but in clean high iso + bigger and clearer LCD)

(b) most importantly, a replacement killer for my "cult" afs 55-200mm f4-5.6 non VR ... make one so good that i can't leave home without it

of course, it has to come with an affordable price tag for us beginners

Maybe Nikon will launch a Medium Format camera and a range of lenses to support it.:)

...perhaps a modular system like Red camera......
