Actually, I am more interested in lenses, Brother Chngpei01?Can disclose any things?perhaps you can advise me how much shall I save for the coming lensessssssssssssss.(you use lenses in the sentance, so I guess Dark Force will release more than 1 lens in 2009, right)

Sorry threw away crystal ball, it was quite useless cos didn't warn me about minibonds and high notes :thumbsd: so now no crystall ball to see what's coming out in 2009.

As I said nothing out of the ordinary I guess (just speculation only hor)

1. Will see stock for 50mm f/1.4 (which was announced in Aug) in time for christmas. Better start placing orders with your fav dealers. ;p

2. The D3x as many sites have pointed out. Don't think the spec is anything to boast about, after all the 5DMkII is already 24mp. Unless Nikon surprise us and decided to enter the MP race (very unlikely) to boost it to 28 or 31 MP

Apart from that, as usual Nikon is pretty slow in releasing the lenses. Probably as many have speculated the 84mmf1.4, 200mm micro, 70-200VRII? and a couple of prime lenses. As for price it is any bodyguess probably they should be be cheaper due to the slow down in demand. But with 7% GST here it is better to buy elsewhere except from Sg.

Well, there was another thread in the Kopitiam area talking about how US Carmakers are being affected blah blah blah.... seems like this financial crisis is very quickly turning global. Was just reading about the throngs of factories in China being put out of business....

That may be in-part because from what I hear, Canon's R&D budget is 20 times that of Nikon... you can imagine where else Canon operates on a much larger scale...

given the state of economy, i assume nikon will scale back production and release of new models... Thus, it's probably good time to get those newly release models like D90/D700 as i doubt their replacement or even D300 replacement will come next year.
