Bro, for the D80, you think so? Thinking of getting another D80 .... the last one I bot was $1800+ for kit.
Hmmm ... quite tempted with the D200's offer of $99 tripod. ;p So guys, D80 or D200? :think:Depends on your use and what functions you require. Also if you have existing lenses/intend to upgrade to AF-S/Af-I lenses only(D40).
Do a feature comparison at Nikon SG website, and also read reviews posted here.
Just get one and start shooting. You will learn more about your needs with more practise.

Depends on how deep your pockets are... if you have deeper ones, then get the D80, else start low and build up..

2 lenses, YES.
70-300G lens is not better nor worse. It's a different optical length for you to choose for usage...

The one I have intend to give away to my nephew ... he's eyeing it. Quite like the D80 ... lots! :heart: Freebies for the show is oso goooood but tempted by the $99 M tripod for D200 ... then again, seen soooo many Bros here letting go the D200 at marketplace thread. That's why I hesitated.

Any known reasons why many are letting go of the D200? Thought that its really quite a good camera?

Wished I have an uncle like you...The one I have intend to give away to my nephew ... he's eyeing it. Tempted with both the D80 & D200 ... D200 $300 more nia + $99 solid tripod. :sweat:
as this will be my first dSLR, i was thinking to start low, ie to get D40, and carry on from there just incase i cant get use to dSLR so wont put such a big dent in my pockets lol.
I understand that the D40 only autofocuses with the latest AF-S lenses, and also the the old, professional, AF-I lenses. However according to some reviewers it is really a light dSLR and the kit lens is quite good for daily shoots. Can i check how much is the SB-400 selling in the market?
what are the other stuffs that i need to purchase if i am getting one? really new to this pls advise ;p

Bro, they're coming out with the D40x soon ... might as well dive in with the D80. Resale value still there if you wanna give up or upgrade. IMHO oni ar.
