Today I went, D80 kit + 70-300G lens + Original Batt = $2100 and the Manfrotto tripod at
$250!!:bigeyes: But cannot pay by installment.

In the end get the RRP price so can pay by installment and the tripod was finally reduced to $230. Used UOB card got 1 additional 2Gb card, luck dip got a pair crystal glasses, a ashworth backpack, a sports bad and a lousy clock radio.

Got my D80 Kit on Friday. Probably made a rash decision. Was thinking of 18-200VR lens in the first place.
Any idea how much I can get for the 18-135 kit lens and the 70-300G lens. Planning to sell them immediately if price is reasonable.

no need to rush into buying. there'll always be offers on. important thing is to decide whether you are really going to spend much time on your hobby to warrant the purchase.

Dun rush. Anyway, the pricing there is not as competitive. It's better to take your time and enjoy your purchase, than rushing and living with a regretted purchase...
