Nikon GP-1 GPS Unit.

Hi Guys,
i just wondering if it would be possible to connect ur mobile phone which got internal gps to the Nikon DSLR then use it to geo-tag the pictures?
As like my phone i can use geo-tag to my picture i take with the phone but just wonder if my above question is possible or anyone tired it ??

Not possible unless you get the bluetooth module mentioned earlier in this thread and pair your handphone with the module. I have not tried thus I do not if it works. However, the module is pretty expensive.

Or you could use ViewNX 1.3.1 to Geo tag yourself for free.

Funny thing is, I could only do it with my Mac, but the PC version keep having problem connecting to the server.

Hi guys,
Got a di-GPS hook up to to a D90 but notice that the preview, menu buttons etc do not respond when the GPS is connected and functioning. The buttons work as usual with the 10-pin connector disconnected.
Does anyone encounter the same issue?

I'm using the Dawntech di-GPS mini IIs on my D90 without any issues.

Try going to the menu, GPS - Auto meter Off.

If it still does not work, I would suggest contacting Dawntech, maybe you've a faulty GPS unit.
