It is a cap to close your camera body when you don't have a lens mounted on the camera.

I don't understand your 2nd question.

is your digital camera great for all shots? You should have known the answer already, since you have owned a digital camera now. Can you shoot 500meter away bird with a 50mm lens? Yes you can, but the bird will look like a dust in the photo. So, you need a 500mm or longer lens. Can you shoot an ant using a 50mm lens?Yes you can, but the ant will look like a dust in the photo, so you need a macro lens. Many say 28-200mm lens is an all purpose lens, but the quality is definitely not comparable to the top 28-70mm lens. If yes, then why people still want to buy the high price 28-70mm? There is a 10-1000mm f/2.8 micro lens, but not yet in production.

icic...hm...er....btw when u say 28-70mm....it means tt it's focal length is tt lar....still abit confused bout those no. and how come u say 28-70mm lens is better in quality den 28-200mm lens.....oh my CP885 is rather good in taking close-ups, got some good DOF....but isnt really good in taking night shots....look orangy...even under normal lighting at nite...taking portraits are ok....juz except tt i dont usually take pple....cause later afraid kanna scolding frm them...hehe

i bought the 50 F1.8D @ cathay 1.5 years ago at price of S$130...u may want to check out the latest price...

Aqua, I think you still don't know alot about camera and photography, hence I think the best solution is for you to go down to a SEED and ask the people face to face, it seems very hard to answer your questions because it seems as if, people say

A is due to B
your question : what is B ?

B is due to C
your question : what is C ?

and so on and so on :p

many of us don't have such a group to ask when we started out, and I bet some of use started with a "wrong" camera for our level of interest in commitment, hence it would be best you talk to other people before plunking down the money for it.

You might want to go down to Tiong Bahru (area around the market) Lots of photo opportunities and that place is going to be demolished soon.

Yup. Its about 5 mins walk away from Tiong Bahru Plaza around a wide drain. Bring some insect repellent though. Mosquitos abound!!!

I'm sure you can find good use with your future SLR in the course you study. :)
