Nikon D750 Official

Just tried out on my D750..

When shooting RAW only, access the camera through WMU android app, it transfers a low-res JPG (< 1MB) when I choose "recommended size" option. It appears that a JPG file is automatically generated for the transfer. So maybe you can stick to RAW only and avoid your JPG file management problems.

BTW also read that for D750, to use UHS-I card only as it cannot take advantage of UHS-II and it may be even slower than UHS-I. Hence I didn't spend more money beyond the Sandisk 95MB/s cards.

Thanks jnet6 & sammy for your post. My needs may not be for "PRO" as I am not a "PRO". But I need to separate them because if it's together in one card, whenever I import using Lightroom, even though I select only RAW, it will also copied the jpeg. Then I gotta additional steps in Lightroom to filter the jpegs and move it to a separate folder. The idea of keeping only raw is good. But for my case, sometimes need to connect to wifi to transfer photos to handphone (ok you may say this is not a "PRO" needs) and the handphone cannot read raw files so cannot transfer. Thus I need the jpegs to transfer via wifi. Btw, to answer your questions, I used SanDisk 64gb U3 card on slot 1 bcos I shoot raw for timelapse & SanDisk 128gb U1 card for slot 2 because I record jpeg and videos in Slot 2 But it is ok, if the D750 cannot do this simultaneous deletion ... my purpose of asking is just to find out whether simultaneous deletion can be done. If can then good, if cannot no need to ask me to consider another system because I can live with this ... Thanks for reading although this is may not be what a "PRO" wants. Cheers
when Lightroom copies both raw n jpg to yr hdd, you can manually select all jpg and del them as they are easier to sort by type and use mouse/keyboard to control.

Oh ya, talking about shot raw only and transfer them via wifi to yr hp. Don't worry. The app n camera will transfer the required jpg via the settings(low/high fine etc) in the app.

Usually I use Bridge & copy to internal harddisk first before I import in to Lightroom.

It is at Bridge, when even I filter to copy raw only, Bridge will also copy the jpeg. That's why separate then in slot 1 & slot2

I think there's some issues in my iphone 6s, for some reasons it cannot read raw files ... hmmm ...

Thanks

Hi all D750 experts,

I histogram chart to be dispalyed on the VF when I am taking a shot (ie before snapping.

I have read the manual regarding histogram in Page 64, 249,250 and 335. All they were talking about are histogram after the photos have been taken in playback mode.

Doing a google on "histogram in Nikon D750" is not of much help either.

Any idea whether it is possible to display it on the VF before taking a shot ?

Thank you very much

At best only in live view. But in the OVF, nope.

Long story short - no, and you're not going to see a firmware upgrade enabling it. Don't hold your breathe for a future dslr to have it on the VF too.

Long story short - no,
Ok thanks for the confirmation

Hahaha ok

You referring to only Nikon's DSLRs in future or other brands of DSLRs as well ?

So, I assume the Canon 5DM3 also do not have the histogram in the VF ?

Thanks

Hi there,

I have set my CUSTOM SETTINGS MENU > a Autofocus > a5 Focus Point illumination to ON.

But how come when I half press the shutter, only the one small square (I am on AF-S) is in red instead of all the wireframe ?

Thanks

I think you should've bought a non FX camera. That would require you less stupid questions. Just my 2 cents worth. Good day!

I actually agree with ClickOne. You've been trying to use a FX DSLR like a mirrorless/mft. Maybe buying a D750 wasn't such a great idea for you ?

I actually agree with ClickOne.

I have no problem with you agreeing with anyone.

But there is no need to judge anyone, no need to be so arogrant and feel as if he is more superior than others. After all, that question that i posted have never been posted before and he also has no answer.

I think whether buying a D750 is a good idea or not for me is not for others to judge. I have my own reasons to purchase it.

If the question i asked irritated whoever, just don't answer, no need to be an arogrant keyboard warrior to post stupid remarks. After all, with his 3 posts, what has he contributed to the forum. Also if it is against the rules in the forum, pls get the moderator to delete it ...

Cheers

What do you usually shoot?
With current dslr technology high iso from D7200 is quite good already. Don't need to buy new camera because of full frame or Low light.

I have been trying to buy the original battery for my Nikon D750 but it has been stock in the a few of the shops at Funan for almost a month already ...

The shops I tried so far, SLRR, Click!, Alan Photo, TK Photo, Cathay Photo

How come Nikon Singapore doesn't have stock for so long ?

Thanks
