there are always adapter for most mount to Eos mount. you can use your nikkor glass on Eos mount. but not vice versa.

ya i know. as i said, it won't be easy decision for me..

one thing i like abt nikon body is the IR AF assist, instead of the flash used by Canon..

anyway both Nikon and Canon are great.. but different.. i am not loyal to any of them, be it nikon, pentax, hassy or whatever.. i am just a consumer.. they never give me free products, so i don't own them loyalty. hahaha..

Yeah but Sony's price is closer to the D800. D600 and 5D Mark II don't need to fear the A99.

yes. i didn't even know d600 is small.. smart? i got no idea ..

i will suffer loss when i sell my canon lenses.. so i am trying to kepp Canon.. but if i get a nikon FM2 and i have already own 2 nikon lenses.. in additon to Samyang lenses having AF confirm for nikon only... all these are factors for me to consider..

not easy for me.. i will take my time to calculate my loss and gain and decide

I would buy if they rebadge the 5Dmk3 with a touch screen and add hybrid AF for STM lenses.

1) Fast and slow actions ( Shutter speed)
2) Low Noise ( Set it at ISO 100 all the way)
3) 100% viewfinder ( Shoot more, crop later)
4) Weather Resistant ( Use a Umbrella)
5) Tough body ( Do you go to war?)

There is no need for Canon to come out with a new budget FF dslr to compete with Nikon D600. They can just slash the 5D MKIII price. But that's gonna make alot of MKIII early adopters very angry.

Why should they do that? The Mark II is still a current model.

Of course not. I wouldn't buy it. But at ¥150k it's a good deal and much cheaper than the D600. I doubt Canon is going to update it anytime soon.

I dont think canon is sitting idly by. It's around the corner for sure - maybe 6 months. Hopefully it wont be a megapixel race, better autofocus, in a cheaper body would be great. Something for the enthusiast not pro. I think if the cut back on shutter durability, weather resistance, frame rate and even megapixels they can have a winner.The Nikon D600 looks great too.
