Nikon D600 Makes First Appearance... Where's Canon?

hahaha.. if they slash price of Mark III, there's going to be chaos... i'll probably be one of the passionately angry early adopters.

Canon could jolly well piss off early adopters like you. They should put emphasis to capture the untapped market. To antagonise 20% is better to lose 80% of the market to the rival.

Canon is sitting on a pot of gold.

Nikon has cut its prices for the products across in an aggressive way. Now you can buy a brand new D800 for $3,750, down more than $500 compared to initial launch, while D800E goes for $4300++ now, D4 is under $7600 now while D7000 is selling at $1330. The launch of D600 may have some reasons behind the price cut but I believe that there are other reasons such as capturing more market shares, etc.

Will we see the same for Canon? Will Canon cut the price of 5D mark 3 below $4k? Anyway, other countries are already selling at Sing $3700-$3800 now.

You can get the 5D Mark III for less than $4k here too.

may be nikon cutting to gain more market share? their market share seems to be going down.

i still can't bear parting $4k on a camera.. it is too much money really..

I think the recent posts suggest 4150 with free cf card. One says can use credit card. The 3899 like no more liao. I sell off my efs lens first then buy
