Hi there, does any one know if you set the camera to 9 focal point, 21 focal point or 39 focal, can you actual see the points in the view finder. Because i only see 1 single point on all the these settings.

Does any of you has these same issue?
Thanks for reading.

There is no issue if you read this:

https://thedigitalcamera.net/af-c-a...cking-what-autofocus-mode-and-zone-to-choose/

DSLR have only optical viewfinder so cannot have graphic displays like EVF ( electronic viewfinder).

Although you can move the focus point or collimator around the 39 points it will only display the central focus point or a single point whether 9, 21 or 39 points are selected. The focus area are bounded by a inscribed rectangle on the ground glass focus screen if that helps you to visualise.
Also note only the central point is the focusing point and the rest only help determine focus. The more points chosen will slow down the autofocus system as it need more time to process much like a democratic political system.

Yes you only see 1 single point, the centre point
Only when you're selecting the AF zone mode like S, d9, d21, d39 etc you will see all the points lighting up.

Hi Guys thanks so much for your helpful feedback.
