Nikon D5000 come on in

hey everyone still learning the ropes with photography. just wondering if any of you guys encounter the same problem as me. the AutoFocus can't seem to focus clearly on the object which i want even when the focus spot is selected with my 18-55mm AF-S dx VR.

Turn to single servo AF, single point, shoot under good light and detailed object.

you must shoot something with contrast. if you're shooting like a wall, it wont work, unless theres this shadow to make out the contrast.

or u could have focus too near the object.....think u need at least 0.28m away from the subject.....

I'm taking a evian eye drop bottle millennium bottle but it can't focus on it when i put it on my table behind a white wall. Its already at servo AF. hmmm.. probably try with more lights.

look at where your focus point is..remember focus point is small, must focus on something that has contrast, if you focus on part of the bottle that's pure white, then there is no contrast..focus on something with contrast like label, letters, etc..

can always get a sb-600 and the red pattern will help in focusing.

2 reasons. underusage cause ppl give them or they impulse buy. 2nd, they wanna upgrade to d90. so factor this into whether u should buy or not.

not sure bout tat flash u quoted. but i think with tat money of tat lens you should get a 16-85 and a 55-200 at least u got tat wide angle to play with. 55-200 is a good and cheap zoom tele.

for flash u can try nissin DI622 or nikon SB600 if you plan to do CLS next time.. otherwise DI622 has higher guide number.

yupz..if u can afford, 24-70mm ...slurps...plus sb 900...wahaha which has Advanced Wireless Lighting system, it a worth it buy if u plan to use nikon for a long time..

Ha ha, there are other camera being sold but D5000 seems more. Maybe there are also more people who have bought D5000.

I have been seriously considering getting this camera as a 2nd DSLR for the crop factor and I like the quiet shutter mode and articulated LCD screen. But I also having 2nd thought that it is weird to carry two DSLR (D700 and D5000). :embrass:

har.!?!? u wanan "downgrade" meh...me just KPO...why u need a FX and DX?.....if u really got the juice and wanna have a FX and DX...buy D90 or D300 better lah..
