Nikon D5000 come on in

I just send them another email, and they told me that they had some typo error. its an 18-55mm kit only. they say it doesnt go with 18-105mm. not sure now what slr to get.

I checked out at John last week. You may have been mistaken. I think the D5000 with 18-55 goes for $1160. D5000 with 18-105 will go for $1480.

the 18-105mm you were saying at $1480 is it at John 3:16 also or other store? I am still waiting for Orient Photo, theirs D90 is $30 cheaper than in John, but they have not replied to me yet. Maybe I go get a 2nd hand lens with 200mm or 300mm distance, then get a 18-105mm.

Yes, they are very accomodating even I am just inquiring and they reply very fast to all my emails to them.

not worth if 1480... get the 18-55, and sell it... get a 2nd hand 18-105 then

wanna ask around if the mirror inside our body is dirty, beside using the blower..wht else can we use to clean>??? is the carbon area of cleaning pen recommended to clean it? since it can remove fingerprints on the lens...

Use a chamois with VERY gentle strokes. The mirror is silvered on the outside, so it's easily scratched. There was someone who tried to use the scotch tape method to remove finger prints and he ripped the silver out of the mirror as well. :sweat:

Why don't you try Alan Photo? I checked a few places like Cathay Photo and John 3:16. Still Alan Photo is cheaper, but of cos their attitude is not really that good compared to the rest.

can send..but must pay $$$...warranty only for defects ...not cleaning...

just bought a d5000 with 18-55 VR from cathay @ 1166 with free UV filter haha so camera is 111158 bucks with 8gb card and quite big nikon bag.

the standard issue for D5000 kit from Nikon is 4Gb and the nikon bag...but nowsday every shop also give 8gb...so I guess only the UV is free...HN everoffer me 1199 kit +bag+8gb
