NIKON D500 - Quick and dirty High ISO noise test

Hi all, just like to know generally when ISO test is conducted, do the reviewer always turn OFF the in-camera high ISO noise reduction for all the ISO settings?
Thanks!

actually I would not, as I want to know what the camera can do at default settings
if not then just shoot raw and process the images with your favourite software.

these are jpegs

Did you managed to test the dr? Does it behave like d5 or older Nikon dslr? Do u have an under exposed shot Anh push it up to see the noise in the dark regions?

sorry, this was done at the launch event
I prefer field test of actual subjects and shooting enviroment

Just found out the video you show how the AF works in the dark, awesome ideas.
Thanks for coming, and thanks for the sharing!

these are jpegs straight out of camera (cropped and inserted ISO text), not sure of the NR settings on the camera

Guess the ISO that this image was taken at? non cropped and resized

This one was supposed to come in at about $2k+, 3k right?

Thank you for the review!

Does it have electronic front curtain shutter? or slient shutter?

Can the aperture be adjusted through live view during video mode?

Impressive..Thanks for sharing.

Looks good. I haven't been so impressed with the lower light abilities of the D7200, even using it alongside micro Four-Thirds. The D500 has been dangerously interesting.

12800 is actually usuable for me. Looks like a stop ahead of the current aps-c competition.

First off let me say I will buy the D500 whatever the high ISO performance is; the criteria would be the image quality at "sane" ISO, high fps, super AF system, DX (Surprise! Well not quite - for birding and wildlife photography).

But I will be really interested if the D500 can match the high ISO performance of Df (my current high ISO favourite, D4 sensor) or D4s.

I sense my money slipping away from my wallet...

it actually looks better than my D800

Any indications when it will hit the shops?
