The D50 has been my 1st DSLR, paired with the 18-70mm lens for 4 years already. totally awesome camera. Long live D50. :thumbsup:

First DSLR i bought. Despite having been tempted by the D90 and D300, i still cant find a good enough reason to switch.

Im a D50 user too. Got it from a good friend of mine. Because of this, it made it possible for me to own my first DSLR

This camera is so good that I don't feel like buying another Nikon DSLR for a long long time. Can't find a reason to.

Nice. You converted your D50?

Thanks. Photo was taken with cokin P007 filter. But since then it was converted to IR. The D50 is indeed good for IR photography. Even my D200 can't produced as good an IR image as my D50. For an "ancient" entry level DSLR, the D50 is decently good.

i still have this lovely camera. my backup body for wedding/events. this baby has seen through a lot with me.. shutter now close to 55k.. just waiting for the shutter to die before going to NSC and have it replaced to give it a brand new life! definitely keeping this gem as its a highly underrated camera . no pics to post yet as all pics taken are in my external hdd.. erm.. somewhere in my room haha

Yeah, there is no doubt that it is a good camera. Light, portable, capable and inexpensive.

Cannot see shutter counts. It is based on trust. By the way, there is an offer by a bro to buy one in good condition with lens at $350. Cheap siah.
