Hmmm, they trying to attract the LGBTs? :bsmilie:

I thinks colours are cool, especially if on shiny chrome surfaces, like on a car. I definitely choose blue though, to avoid mistaken identity :bsmilie:

choice of shops for me in order of preference:

1). iphoto.
2). Cathay Photo.
3). TK Foto

Lol. Bought it at 8pm. Service not bad. But i did see "D4S (HK)" printed on the bottom. But the warranty printed its unit number and what nots tally. Maybe will give Nikon Sg an email to confirm.
loving the unit nonetheless. :)

HK and SG same warranty.

I see quite a number of 2nd hand Nikon D4 cameras on sale. There will be an itch to upgrade I suppose.

Most of the professional event photographers and photojournalist that I know are keeping their D4 since they are not prepared to pay that much for that "low light" and additional 1 fps features.
I think more people will jump from D3s to D4s.

And disposable cash on hand .... enjoy fast burst rate...

ROI is more important to us, than just the additional features. In the right hands, D4 and D4S can produce almost similar images, and unless printed like few meters big, not much significant difference warrants the change.

For one to jump to a new model, these days I feel the breakthrough comes when it's 2 gen apart. Eg: D2X->D3S, D3->D4S, D4S->D6 etc.

I probably won't be in a hurry to upgrade from D4 to any new bodies over the next 7-8 years to so until the D4 has no more service/support.

By then the camera would have ROI'd and D6/D6S or D7 might have more impressive features that warrants the jump.

Of course this is my view, there will be people who feel every upgrade is important to them, this is normal too and by no means waste of money in their context.

The pros who are so used to their equipment would probably stick with theirs till it no longer can serve the purpose. Many D3S users I know are sourcing for another D3S for back up now, reluctant to upgrade. :)

I am keeping mine and logically it make sense when what I shoot does not even enter the realm of what the D4s new functions.

Well most people think the jump from D2x to D3 was very significant. And D3 to D3s was significant too. Then it slowed and some say even D4s was not enough of an improvement to sink your money to if you have a D3s.

Some say if you have a D3 it makes sense to upgrade to D4 or D4s. D3s still not fully outdone by the newer cameras.

I know of two individuals who are "upgrading" from D3 to a D3x and happy with that.
