The lenses will still work, but the autofocus will not. :bsmilie: Just have to manual focus.

I'm a d5000 user tho (sorry if u guys think i'm hijacking the thread :S) and wanted to help with basic questions posted here, since d5000 and d3000 r kinda similar (eg. the absence of in-built AF motor).

I believe most camera shops will stock both of the items, just go to a reputable one. I heard Carrefour sells dry cabinets as well. Do a search and threads on dry cabinets should show up

Maybe go buy the cabinet and ask for free screen cover / protector.

I suggest going to SLR revolution to purchase the 35mm 1.8. The price is definitely better then buying second hand piece.

You can call the shops and ask if they have any left, and then reserve over the phone. I bought mine this way @ $365, when it was out of stock almost everywhere else.

i bought mine at a high class european shop called "parisilk"...got paris got silk sure must be upmarket. but the price is good ard $750 for body and 18-55mm kit lens. plus free 8g sd card.

now thinking shd i buy a dry box or use good tupperware with silica gel :think:
