Aiya, I dun quite care about the brand thingy. Every camera got its good and bad. After all, we are all here to learn about photography skills and not to help Nikon, Canon or whatever brand to sell products.

Anyway, the C750 looks to be a good camera, Megaweb has shown what it is capable of when in good hands..

Fyi.. Some of the guys in the AMK thread should be dropping by the doggy carnival.. I'd probably drop by as well if I'm free that day.

The C750 should be using the CLA-4 adapter..

Like stk stated, C750 is using a CLA-4 lens adapter. With that, the thread size is 55mm. Have not yet gotten my 55mm filters, just did a equote for the HOYA brand @ MS Color. I wonder they have it or not.. cos CP doesnt have it.

We're all here to discuss about photography in general, and learn and help each other at the same time, and not here to bash up certain brands or boast about one's brand loyalty etc. (like a certain someone has been doing recently).

Enuff of the OT...I am in no position to comment abt the CP 5700 since I haven't used one before, but all I can say that it is a very capable camera and able to churn out great pics if in the right hands. Do consider other cameras in the same class and research your options thoroughly before finally taking the plunge.

low light focusing shits me off too, but then i haven't used another digicam extensively to compare, so can't tell if it's really the 5700 bad, or it's just bad for all digicams.

anyway sooner or later i gonna go up to d100 (or the prevailing model at the time or some dSLR) hopefully it'll be much better. anyway i'm just living with it now. i mean, wat can u do rite? perhaps stick a maglight onto the cam and turn it off just b4 u snap? :bsmilie:

IMHO, you are going too fast.
Try to remember that it's not the equipment, but the photographer.

ehhe dun worree it'll be a long while yet. think at least another year. u're right about the photog not the equip part!

har har har - to make you feel happier...here's my name. I think there are also a few more out there but did not put their names in only...I am doing this for you ok espn

Anyways I am quite set on getting it - probably fri...and am in the process of convincing my colleague to get it orso - he seem tempted already - but I think he wants the 5400 instead - SLS still no one stocking leh....

Had a feel and try at AP yesterday. Think I am getting more and more excited about the camera man! Maybe cos this is my first digi cam (though I am not new to photography)

But it is true that this baby will require a bit of investment in terms of time to know it better. The fellow at AP took 5 minutes tweaking the camera and still couldn't successfully set the camera to manual focus mode man!!! Though in terms of slow focusing time...I thought it was more or less similar to other AF cams (I compare it to my F801 - hee hee give you indication of how long it has been for me huh ) So far - nothing I can complain about - except would be nice with 1.8" LCD and slightly bigger EVF lar
