Isn't the one in the middle a 58 f1.2 Noct-Nikkor? Yen 204,750, that is about S$3K. At least there is one on display! Where is this place in Japan?

it's Fujiya Camera in Nakano.
about 5 mins walk from the station.
well the 50 f/1.4 is not in good condition.
the picture was taken last week when i was there.

anyway, the 58 noct is nothing compared to this ....

Not sure where Nakano is.... but you are sure avid lens window shopper! 28 f1.8 is a modern lens and is still in production. Noct is legand (I bet you will never see two side by side for sure) and I will grab the noct at any time

The 28/1.4 had a short production cycle. It had been out of production for many years, hence the high price.

Ok... My mistake. I thought it is still in production. Also it is f1.4, I type wrongly as f1.8. It has indeed earned the greatest regards from all the professionals. I just saw two samples at KEH, asking for USD3200+ in excellent conditions. Wonder if the price has been grossly inflated. It is unthinkable since it is almost as costly as the 300 f2.8... AYC

Wonder if the shop would ship items outside Japan. I know many shops in HK do that and the shipping charges are very reasonable. The only thing is one has to pay the 7% GST even though little or no service is incurred here!

There are many MANY ways to buy 2nd hand lenses from any part of the world if you try hard enough.

This is OT already. Somebody please tell us more about the Noct. Sample pics taken in Singapore would be nice.

It will be real nice to see some photos taken with Noct.

Although 28 f1.4 seems to be reputable and comparable to Noct, Nikon critic Bjorn Rovslett only gave it a 4, http://www.naturfotograf.com/index2.html so the high price could be overly inflated...
