dont understand...at 35mm range, u should be standing nearer to your human subjects rite?

i think what he means is tt he doesn't have the big big lens so ppl might not be paying to much attention to him

Personally I own 35mm f1.8 and sigma 30mm f1.4, both are very good lens, especially 35mm f1.8 with a little weather sealing(or so i heard).

But the siggy 30mm f1.4 just blew my mind away at f2.

There is some distortion on the Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.8, which is perhaps a little bit too much from a prime. But it is still fairly minor, and easily corrected via post processing.
