Haha, and this is how The Dark Side Rules the Universe for the next few decades~:bsmilie:

Actually, tonemapping is just to re-map certain tonal range to another tonal range, so you can do this with level (applies to the entire pic), dodge&burn (applies to region), Curve, (applies to entire pic) and shadow/highlight (applies to entire pic). Tonemap in Photomatix is one of the convinient way to do the same thing.:)

:thumbsup:what beautiful colours! how to do Single RAW HDR? only photomatix can do it?
I kept taking multiple shots for HDR, it is really killing my hdd space, not to mention limiting the number of shots i can take on my CF card.

Think I better keep quiet liao:sweat:

best solution, make me happy, make you happy

you pay 1.8 k for my k20d and give it to me
i pay 700+ for a new sigma 10-20 and give to you

all can do it, but photomatix does it AUTOMATICALLY

take note though, when you do single hdr from raw, you are NOT going to get the amount of dynamic range you will get with combined shots.. maybe gain 1 - 2 stops i estimate, but nothing as great as what you can do with +3 to -3 ev

hahaha, but you got chance to shoot av model lehhhh :bsmilie:
The car is really nice. Love to drive one of these in the future.

hey bro.. yes, poland in particular has a lot of cool old cars.. very retro..
i am not very versed in history but i suspect it has something to do with their being communist until recent times :bsmilie:

it is an interesting place though, like i've told some in conversations, we met a few polish university students studying in krakow, and they were really really cool. a female political science student and her friend.. it is ironic but they were complaining that their government was paying too much attention to non-important issues like rights, homosexuality and abortion when the economy itself needed the most help.

when u talk abt +3 to -3 u talking about 7 images ... and combining those 7 to really get an impressive HDR ?

yes, usually this would be the standard range for sunsets. :)

For lastboltnut.. another retro car.. Not sure if he likes this one as much though, a bit more boring. By the way, as seen in this picture, cars are supposed to mount kerbs when parked in Poland. Pretty cool concept, I might be a country bumpkin as this is the first time I have seen this. There are even signs telling you to mount halfway or mount all the way.. I have taken a photo of one somewhere.. Not processed yet though.

Thank you Bro for the car pic. I am in love with cars that has metal bumper....nice and classy...

Bro, any reason why need to mount kerb? Interesting...

Many countries with long history will have this as their roads were not designed for this amount of traffic, so now they need more parking space, so the road side (or curb) become part of the road.

If you have been to France, you might want to observe how people park their cars there.....Parallel parking I mean. They don't engage their parking brake so that when another car comes along and need more space, the other will use its bumper to push the cars infront and behind to make room for entry.....just like what Mr. Bean did in one of his Sitcom.:)

Like Cuba, in the sense that one can find a lot of old retro cars there as well. But mainly old 50s-60s Chevys and Fords in Cuba. Very cool though. Poland looks awesome.

when you take tp there and u dont mount kerb u immediate failure..HAHA

anyway great pics as hoped to see, never fail to deliver. i am also a fan of 16:9 cropping..haha

i am not sure, but their minor roads are really, really small.. like one lane on each side.. so i guess they have to resort to this. it is all very interesting though.

have not been to france, so cannot see what lastboltnut mentioned.. it's relatively easy to get to so i have been putting it off :bsmilie:
