hehe, i only have a few texture tricks.. all discovered using photoshop.. no external source.

this one's done with filter --> render --> fibres, then adjusting opacity and erasing

Sweet! but somehow, the silhouette and the reflection on the river made me stumble for a moment. Kinda distracted by how there is no clear line maybe that's what makes it nice but yep it's a wonderful picture where is it by the way?

thanks for dropping by bro. i'm not sure about you guys, but i do see a wee bit of detail (particularly on the left side).. the light source is coming from the right. didn't want more detail, as the mountains are not particularly photogenic now, and the light was hitting the log properly..

this is taken in lake district, cumbria. roughly 300 mile drive from london. was a road trip over the weekend.

nothing you can do when there is no light, and limited time. this is why i always prefer singapore to travelling in some ways, while you get a breather.. it's a lot of luck really. whereas back home you can always revisit the location over and over again. tis was an overcast day a few months back, hurhur.
