just a note though, opposing tensions isn't a hdr, it's a bit of iffy flash work with my camera's onboard flash.. if only i'd brought my more powerful (albeit cheapo fixed output) hotshoe mounted one with a diffuser.. :dunno:

as to how to tell, there are no details in the rocks on the right side of the picture, a hdr would at least correct this. though it may not correct the dark treeline.

hehe, first time i took sunset from the plane.. usually forget and stow the camera bag overhead but this time remembered. it was even more beautiful later, but the light from the plane was reflected because it was now relatively brighter, so had to dump those shots.
