NEX E-mount 50mm f1.8

To be honest that's why I reluctantly went back to canon dslr. I loved my NEX and promoted it to my frens but in the end the frustration of lenses i can't buy made me give up.

But I m still lurking here ;p
You have to be diligent. Anyway, why not get the sel18200 then?

Here's a recent shot of my girl with the sel50f18.

what do you mean by..about the same? ill say they are very different.
1) SEL dosent need you to use a adapter
2) Different brand
3) 50mm vs 40mm
4) F1.8 vs F1.4
5) The voigtlander probably cant AF..
At least this is all i know and can list. Other stuff is weight/price..long with other specs.
Nobody can decide for you what to buy. Just buy what you need. If not..what you want also can.
If you have or willing to spend more. Buy both.

What is the difference between the e mount 50mm 1.8 OSS against the normal a mount 50mm 1.8 . Is there a difference in quality with OSS?

If you have really steady hands or you take photos with a tripod, you can always go without oss. A-mount lens will require an adaptor on the nex.

Like what megadark mentioned. U need adapter for the a mount.

The SEL50mm produces nice and sharp images. Bokeh is pleasing to the eyes too.

Not sure how the a mount performs.

The OSS will reduce the handshake so it a plus for me.

hmm..doesnt matter.. The 50mm 1.8 OSS is already very sharp. Whats wrong with having or not having OSS..infact having the OSS is a big PLUS.

ok thanks. cos i have a 50mm 1.4 sony lens. will need to get into the adapter for the a mount. just wondering if the 50mm 1.8 OSS is an improvement to current A mount lens
