I'm curious... with lenses that big, do you have any issues with the ergonomics? I was aiming for the a77, but now the NEX-7 seems more tempting, and if sticking big lenses to a tiny camera isn't that much of an issue I'm going to jump right in!

The Beercan is still ok, I find the 70-200 F2.8 on Nex to be abit not practical. Infact, its not really that uncomfortable as we will have to rest the CG on the left palm, and leave the fingers to MF, and right hand to operate camera.

Well the main issue with these big lens on the Nex camera are.. Either u loose AF.. or you have really slow AF (unless you use LA-EA2)
and all in all...you loose the IS.
Its not very practical in the long run IMO..the size and weight is just very inappropriate..can be very uncomfortable and at the long end..you might not get very sharp photos (unless u are on a tripod or have very strong arms)

But its fun and you do get alot of attention with those long barrel on the small camera..

ya.. cos you have to use your left hand to support the lens + you have to turn the focus ring for MF + turning zoom ring.. It works ok if you are on tripod tho

Its easier with the 'pump action' zoom of the older MF zoom lens like the 28-200 MD mount zoom lens. Push in and out to zoom and turn to focus. But the lens quality is not fantastic thou still usable. And yes, you get lots of stares using these..

Ahh... then I guess left handers have a slight advantage. Glad I'm one of them :P

Can share which M-to-NEX mount adapter is good? Novoflex? Voigtlander? Kipon?

Thanks!

Depends on your wallet actually . I am using rj , cheap and good . Maybe not perfect but the adapters are generally metal build extension tube . Kipon are the cheapest among the three if I am not wrong . If you are purist and wants the best fit for the m lens , I would take voigtlander .

Thanks. I'm looking for a solid M-adapter so that can last longer no need to keep changing due to wear n tear. One of the guys mentioned he uses a few (and spoiled a few) only to finally settled on Novoflex. Therefore asking if any bros used Novoflex before. Thanks for recommendation, will consider.
