Nex 5 images

WOW :bigeyes: really nice... What all this? is the wolf fake? Sounds werid that the wolfs crash over the glass, if its real its truely animal cruelty... :angry:

lol... What is this all about?
Thanks.

This is an installation piece at the National Museum of Singapore by Mainland Chinese artist, Cai Guo-Qiang. Considered one of the most important contemporary international artists today, he has been exhibited in major institutions around the world including, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Tate Museum in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

The life-sized wolves are not real. The bodies are resin cast stuffed with hay while the fur is actually painted sheepskins.

The exhibition piece was commissioned by Deutsche Bank AG and is meant to depict the deep and intractable historical issues still faced by the East and West Germans after reunification. Although the Berlin wall has long been demolished, the artist is trying to remind people that invisible walls are the hardest to dismantle.

The exhibition is on till August. Seems to be perfect for testing out the NEX cameras with its sweep panorama, 3D sweep panorama, handheld twilight and anti-motion blur modes.

Should go catch it ! ;)

A bunch of shots taken using the NEX-5 with kit lenses:

using alpha 30mm 2.8 macro

Hey Kris. How does the 30/2.8 perform when you use it for normal view shots. I.e non macro shots?

Rurouni: still able to point at shoot in bright daylight but manual focus is difficult and in poor lighting condition u need a longer shutter speed.. not rly recommended..

Would like to ask what is the effective angle if using 16mm lens on Nex 5? Is it 16mm or higher?(similar as DSLR having APS cmos sensor)

The nex 3/5 use an aps-c sized sensor with a crop factor of 1.5x

Hence the 16mm would translate into a 24mm field of view.

This is really nice, how to get this effect?

Spot metering?

By the way, Chiif, please post more M mount lens images, thanks!
