..... here are some good reasons to get a NEX5 ........ ;p

I find the sweep panorama really fun to use but the pictures end up being very dark. Anyway to change that on the camera?

The pic below was taken at Marina Bay Sands Sky Park. It was cloudy but the sweep pictures came out really dark.

Other than that, really loving the camera. :)

What I really like about the recent Sony P&S cameras like WX1, TX1, TX7, TX5 and HX5 besides the Sweep Panorama mode, are the Anti Motion Blur and Hand-held Twilight modes which allow these cameras to shoot at high ISO at noise levels much lower than any other competitors. The NEX cameras do this even better because of the larger sensors and can produce much less noisy images compared to shooting under normal modes at the same high ISO levels.

Examples:

Hand-held Twilight

#1

1/60s f/4.5 at 39.0mm ISO 1250

#2

1/80s f/5.0 at 45.0mm ISO 3200

Anti Motion Blur

#3

1/250s f/5.0 at 51.0mm ISO 6400

#4

1/250s f/5.6 at 55.0mm ISO 400

Tomcat, the iso 6400 shot is awesome

awesome pics tomcat...

i personally prefer #2 :thumbsup::thumbsup:

good effort

Thanks.
These are just snap shots to illustrate the unique capabilities of the Anti Motion Blur and Hand-held Twilight modes of the NEX cameras. They are also capable of freezing motion much faster than the sound of the shutter firing would suggest. A few of the times, my cats had moved when the shutter was still firing off the 6 clicks but the image still came out OK. :)

evil thread spotted

Must...resist....

It's taken at the National Museum of Singapore.
The exhibition is an installation art piece by a world famous contemporary Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang called 'Head On'.
