NEX 3/5 Accessory

Guys i just got back from SLS.
1st floor has the screen protector at 30 BUCKS!!!!

Went to the sony V3 shop at 3rd level.
Got it for 18 dolalrs!

Soft one going for 15!

Got a few more pieces, so cheong ah!

whoaa yesterday they charged me $22 for the hard cover...sigh

Goodness! This is the first time I hear a camera item street price cost more than the RRP!
Do NOT pay more than the $15 retail price. It makes no sense.
BTW, was at Sony Jurong Point just now. The sales guy does not seem to know anything about the NEX nor seems to be motivated to want to sell stuff to you.
In anycase, they have the NEX camera pouch, the nice base holders as well as soft bag.
No batteries or screen protectors though.

ytd... went Funan... damn sian...

bought lenspen and Blower @ 3.16 @ $15 each.
49mm Vitacon UV Filter @ $35.
All shop says nex5 1855mm de 49mm dia is not common for cam, more for DVcam.
so alot of them dun carry them.

sad sad sad... can go sls till wkend but not free.
any peeps going there, can help me buy the LCD Hard Cover for nex5?

What you are getting now are the initial demo sets for which some retailers would rather sell off. The official release dates of the lenses where they will be fully available is in Aug. Not sure which date though.

I don't believe that they are demo sets as the lenses all came in unopened boxes that have the original Sony sealing tape in tact. According to my dealer, Sony only brought in limited numbers for allocation to the local dealers.

Not so. I was just there and they still have one set of 16mm and 1 set of fisheye converter as well a set of lens adapter. Those who are interested better rush down fast.

Yup, saw them at the shops indeed very nice. Only issue is quite a hassle to remove them when wanting to charge battery or take out memory card...

Check out my other thread. These "demo" sets are actual sets that are meant to be used for display. Sony does not provide separate packaging for demo sets. However, instead of doing that, they sold it off instead.
