[News] Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM1

No worries, I can always "prune away" those violators.

Cut! Cut!

hahaha, hao hao. Will watch it.

But seriously I'm much looking forward to the GM1 more than the GX7, especially when it shares the same sensor. Been a long time waiting for one MFT body that beats the Pentax Q in size.

This is smaller than Pentax q?
Power man

This model is a m4/3 revival for me :-) Impressive design, size.

Anyone intends to getting the orange colored one? :p

This color is so cool, a little like Leica Hermes edition, less the price tag of coz. The feel is very good actually.

thankful the marketing didn't catch on this or it will be a price nightmare...

Power. This will snatch sales from q and the compact category. Thumbs up!
Q has it's own market for MILC as some uniquely small lens, virtue of sensor size, like 06(abt 85-250/F2.8) and UWA, soon available are so small that you can have a small bag with all lenses for whole day and still won't feel a thing. have seen great images from CS reviews on it too. I've invested rather heavily in m43 to have another mirrorless system, so Q will be out of my consideration. Otoh, I think RX100 is a threat to Q for those who won't need interchangeability.

ya, anything with red dot brand is not going to be cheap...P15/1.7 & certainly P42.5/1.2 nocticron

Hard to match black lens though...

haha, ya. The price of the 15/1.7 was a surprise high of >USD1000 to me but nothing's confirmed yet as the ebay listing got removed soon after.
Now its to see whether optically quality wise is it worth its price.

another interesting development is how Panasonic is going to develop lenses for the GM1. [small enough but yet still manage to pack a punch]

Feels like Oly is moving from good primes to fast zooms while Pana is moving from fast zooms back to good primes.

ya, most of smaller m43 lenses has silver except 14/2.5?

It is, the next ones are tele Pro, UWA pro zooms! can't wait...in comparison, the PL25/1.4 is rather "cheap" haha
