That for me is a huge bummer.

The act of having to unscrew the whole case to change a batt frustrates me.

Perplexed why'd Gariz design a case without a slot for batt change. Maybe they might release another version later ?

Actually I take a look at the battery compartment opening again, being at the side under the grip and opens in a diagonal way, I think there is no way they would do an opening slot for battery changing.

Has anybody bought a external flash for the GX7 yet? Am I limited to only Panasonic flashes for full functionality? Or there are 3rd party flashes that I can use?

The Panasonic DMW-FL360L looks pretty good, got LED lighting for videos.

Heard that Oly & Metz flashes are compatible too.

The Panasonic DMW-FL360L is the same as the Oly FL-600R and can be used on both Oly or Pana bodies.
Metz flashes work too as long as it is for the 43 system.

I am having trouble using the EVF in daylight. This is one area where I feel the GX-7 is inferior to EM-1. I understand there is this DMW-EC1 eyecup. Anyone using it?

Is it me or the Singapore Panasonic Web Site is only showing me their lenses and bodies and no information on Battery and other accessories? Panasonic UK web site lists everything.

My eye socket is ready covering the eyecup but it is still letting in too much stray light that i cant see the viewfinder in broad daylight, it kinda defeat the purpose of a EVF because thats when you need it most. I hope the bigger eyecup will solve this problem.

Probably not. The bigger eye cups will also cover the corners of the EVF. There is a reason the default eye cups aren't any longer. My recommendation is to never buy the bigger eye cups all manufacturers try to make money with.

This one I've can share too that trying the EP-11 on EM5 was a mistake. Somehow the EP-10 packaged with the camera though flimsy was better coming to shooting.

Hey guys, i just wanted to ask, what's the most affordable zoom lens to get for the GX7?
I'm planning on getting a 14-42mm II as well as a prime like the 20mm f1.7, would that be recommended?
