Bought GX7 at $1450 HN @ West mall few days ago. -_-; (Kept asking bargain, but failed. )
For current promotion, got the confirmation from Panasonic that they give 940mAh one instead of original battery.

Anyway GX7 is very nice camera so far.

Thanks for the update and that confirmation. I remember reading in dpreview forums that other countries are getting a different model battery as compared to default one.

That for me is a huge bummer.

The act of having to unscrew the whole case to change a batt frustrates me.

Perplexed why'd Gariz design a case without a slot for batt change. Maybe they might release another version later ?

The free leather case Panasonic giving away with the gx7 purchase also the same... got to remove the case before you can access the hatch to replace memory card or battery =.="

Otherwise it's pretty great to use...
