No need la. around a 5min walk only, if you take a slow leisurely pace.

Better not. Use your SZ tripod first and look at the models and setups used by the other shooters. There's so many combinations, so mind-boggling some times. The tripod legs is one thing, the head is another. See a good combi for you to use and fits your budget then get it.

cos my budget is not very big... i would go look for a decent $70 tripod.. but cos i nv use this SZ tripod on my dslr b4, im afraid it might topple .. the legs are so thin...

But stay away from the one with the Nikon D700/16-35VR/SB900/135DC/Gitzo/Markins.... His equipment is very 'poisonous' :devil:

Gitzo/Markins !!?? Nah .. too far my budget... and i dont bring my tripod often..


And yes, I am looking forward to this evening outing. This will be my second outing .. hehe

Yup, 6pm or so... I like to go recce first to look-see what are the best spots, angles, vantage points to shoot. Also to shoot Zero as he is illegal parking would be cool... :bsmilie:
Anyway, contact me if you get there earlier. I'll probably be at Coffeebean or Starbucks by 5pm to do some work. :sweat:

Not driving bro. I let my dad take the car today so I don't have to pick him up, so I can go outing mah. I will get there via MRT. but must walk walk walk. Either that or take taxi, if it gets too hot.

I will bring la. I got feeling I will take more pics of people than stadium that day. cham...

don't be in such a rush to buy a tripod just to join an outing. A rushed purchase is usually a bad purchase.

Unfortunately (for you), tonight's outing is really too full already.
What I suggest is to join a smaller outing next time, and ask some questions about what sort of tripod to get. Look at what other people use. Also in the meantime do some research on various brands/models and their prices.
You need not get the most expensive model, but neither should you grab the cheapest one you can find.

yes yes I brought my laptop and SDHC card reader. Those who have Canon..... or high-end Nikons, hope someone brought a multi-card reader.

Just a suggestion. This is what i notice in another outing. You can do a group brief for the common things.... like set to aperture mode....what aperture to use....etc.... then you will have some time to take some photos also.
