haha.. shane... y is dat so...??

sure or not?
Even as a Nikon user, I don't hate the 500D.
It's a photographic tool, and all are good! :)

Right, i should qualify that Canon users are the ones that hate it. There’s so much bashing of it because of the High ISO, versus the 450, 550, 7D etc. Say that it’s turning out watercolour or blur images.

At least i’ve mostly got round it by by shooting Raw without NR and doing judicious post-processing! Anyway it’s ok for me lah, at least I learn alot by working around limitations ;p

So bro..err... i might be driving tml, ain't too famaliar with tat place.. where will u be parking ur vehicle?

Since we are just shooting at location 2, we can park the not so legal road area just beside the meeting point, as we can see our cars .... so we can lookout for the people in white :)

But not sure if alot of people attending the event across will also park there

I will head to the 'less than legal' spots along Tanjong Rhu road and park there.
If you're coming from ECP, exit Fort Rd and then soon after make a left turn into Tanjong Rhu Rd, past Dunman High and S'pore Swimming Club. The parking area is closest to Pebble Bay condo. There's an alternative access, with a new bridge linking Tanjong Rhu to National Stadium. Can drive over from Stadium (eg. Kallang Macs) side.

Im workin hard to earn enough money to buy a tripod and join your next outing!

if I manage to leave office on the dot, I can reach by about 6pm. But more realistically will be closer to 630pm.

even though I'm leaving my present job, but I must not look too eager to get out of there!

all the best to you! !!

Just remember one thing about tripods:
It's better to save up a bit more and get the one you really need, rather that 'waste' the money getting a lower-end model which you can't sell off afterwards.

So many people scrim on tripods, then put then heavy heavy Full Frame DSLR. A rough wind and your $XXXXX gear comes smashing down. :(

Investing in expensive, "premium" tripods is overrated, really. The hobbyist seldom requires anything beyond a Manfrotto

I din say those expensive types obviously. I was referring to those cheapo no brand tripods, where people think they can cut corners so they get those.
