Of course you in la...! Don't need to ask. hehehe.
I put you (Nikon) and Frank (Canon) in charge of the group photo hor?? No pressure! :)
We will support support with the remote slaves... :)
I got my wireless triggers!! No need to worry about whether Canon or Nikon flashes for the group photo alr. All kinds can mix and match! :P

Thx Bro ! Zerocool and I are really grateful to see senior guys like you standing out and share your skills and knowledge with others!

This outing wouldnt be successful without you guys support!

Cheers
Fuji

No worries bro, always willing to help.. And fyi, becos of the nature of my work and my long working hrs, i gg to take haf day off on tat day so i can meet ur guys on time.. with the aim of benefiting the newbies through sharing of knowledge.

And to reiterate on what Fuji-san had pointed out,

Kindly exclude urself from the "Newbies" List (But ur welcome to join us there!) if you already comfortable with night photography..

I will try my very best of "transferring" those knowledge and experience i had learned and picked up from peers/seniors over my short 4 + years of photography learning journey..

1. How to use a black card
2. Hyper focusing
3. Diffraction (limits lens performance) - how to minimise tt
4. Bulb Mode/long exposure
5. Framing/Composition matters
6. Other Misc/Basic stuff like DOF, shutter duration, iso settings, mirror lock up, spirit level, timing, creative long exposure(zooming) and etc etc..

Regret I can't join this outing, love the previous one.
Hope to join future ones.

Cheers!

Salute you Macho Man..:vhappy:

Tks~ Seeya tt day! :)

Black card a bit hard to teach. A lot of calculation involved. and tons of spot metering.

Anyway numnumball ultimate sacrifice sia. This kind of seniors where else to find.:thumbsup:

I salute both of you man ! Our Newbies Outing is getting more and more power with you guys coming in to join us and support us!

Looking at all these support and sacrifice, We are really hoping to help and support the growing interest of newcomer to photography.

Remember, courtesy is for YOU and Me! Learn to give up a seat for others who need it more than you!

We will work out another plan for those who need no guidance to STILL be able to come and have fun and interact with us !

I am just hoping for someone to stand up and take the lead to help Zerocool to coordinate on the part where "Newbies" who need no guidance.

Please understand why we are doing this.

We are grouping one senior with 3 newbies.

And can you imagine the senior who is trying his best to share whatever he knows with the group, and you have ONE shooter who is happily shooting on his own and running around .... how silly can the senior feels !

We are doing this 1-3 so that the newbies can have full attention from the seniors.

We are not charging anyone a single cents and we appreciate certain respect too !

Most importantly, we are taking our time off, sharing what we know, and spending time with you in hope that Every newbie will have a good picture and new knowledge/skill to take home from each outing.

We are not graduated from some photography school and please dun expect all seniors to do or teach the correct things. We are plain sharing from what we know best for our own preference and liking.

Thank you and i hope everyone will continue to have fun !

would be great if i can join to pick up some tips from fellow CSers :)

would be great if i can join to pick up some tips from fellow CSers :)

If I think the group size is still manageable, I will open up the empty slots. But it'll be first come first served, so please check back often :)

Fuji and Zero,

Just a thought, are you going to group the newcomers with seniors who have experience in which system. I’m pretty familiar with Canon system. Even played (but not owned) a 1DsMkIII, but if you ask me to operate a Nikon, I might fumble around the menus, although i should be able explain the exposure triangle, ISO, shutter speed, aperture. So it’s fastest for me to help newcomers with Canon system.

But i understand this would cause more work for you two. Thank goodness for people like Numnumball who have experience in both :P

it'll be pretty much free and easy on that evening itself. Don't need to fret too much about it all.
We'll all be around the immediate vicinity. If someone asks you a question pertaining to the operations of a Nikon, simply point him/her towards one of the Seniors with a Nikon. I will do the same if someone asks about Canon, you can be sure of that! :)

Yes, as much as we could, we will try to do tat.

Most importantly, newbies usually like to know ISO/Aperture/Shutter speed and the mode they should/could use.

Cheers ;)
