Newbies Outing (part 10) - June 6 Sunday, Marina Barrage

Hi Joshua, appears to me that your pictures below are over sharpened.. :dunno:

Hey Joshua, if you don't mind, can you tell us which software you use to resize your pics? If using Photoshop, I usually use "Bicubic (best for smooth gradients)". Choosing the wrong method, or a software that do not give you options, may lead to degradation and oversharpening when resizing.

Ya you did bro. I also saw Draken's sunrise pics there. Very beautiful.

Bro, since ZCA on holis and allow Bro Din to take a break while Jacobs organize one for next Sat, allow me to take up the organizer role this time round?~?!

Bro Bryan,

Count me in! Was considering the Helix last night! Appreciate you stepping up for this one. Maybe we can take turns until ZCA returns to full duty.

Cheers!

Sure thing Bro.

Let's share the workload and continue to 把 bro ZCA's 的精神 發楊光大 for the benefits of those newbies.. :)

I will count u in as one of the "seniors"

And will use your Part 10 thread format for kickstarting the broadcast.

Cheers

Hi mimik07 & dd123,

I am using the ksResizer software. I thought they are very easy to do the bulk resize of my pictures. Maybe I try to repost the pictures and kindly with me your comment.

Thank you guys your your notes... Cheers!:)

Oh ok. Even with Irfanview, when I do batch resizing, I find pictures getting pixelated. I will download a copy of ksResizer and play around with it.

Using the Nikkor 14-24mm lens to shoot is... C&C please..Cheers!:)

Very nice Joshua. I think a slight lowering of the shadows (curves) will be awesome.

Nice one bro, thought there's a slight tilt leaning towards to the left (which can be corrected easily..And take note of the distortion in the bottom right hand corner. Nice exposure btw :)

Ok, bro DD123 notes taken... want to learn PP?? any want ones to teach??..:) Cheers!

I don't mind sharing what I know. I am not a master in PP compared to the DI artists out there.

Thing is, like I mentioned before, it is better for us to be able to get our hands on a LCD projector. With that setup, I can plug my laptop in, and do a run through on my workflow.

I can share how I do PP for landscape, and for portraits. quite a bit different approach.

So anyone able to provide a conference room or something? We can also hook it up to a large LCD TV with VGA input (my laptop do not have HDMI).

Waaaa sounds very tempting...

Can you tell me the costs involved? (price of buffet etc)... So I can put it up, and let people know.

My sharing comes free. But if someone will be kind enough to chip in for my buffet dinner would be ... :bsmilie: jokin la. I am fine with paying for my own food.

Waaaa 30 pax... hmmm.

A bit scared, if 30 sign up, then got no show, then how?

And forum rules dictate that we cannot collect payments...

Let me ask around to see where else we can find such facilities..

$15 is actually not ex for buffet.
