Newbie to Photography on 60D

Wow there are a lot of tripods recommended for a new user.

I'd personally get a simple tripod from the BNS section to play around before investing in a good tripod. You may realize that you won't lug around that extra piece of equipment. A basic tripod can hold a 60D with kit lens very well anyway.

That was also what I thought initially... but I intend to go serious on photography so went for 1 that (hopefully) can last my passion for 2-3 yrs before upgrading... ;p

Attending the FOC Canon camera user training tonight (8 Dec)... any other members attending?

the FOC ESO user training was good... now know more of the settings and modes available for my 60D... will start trying out some of the different settings in my shoots and see how they turn out...
