Hi Folks....

Just to clarify. I believe some members here has been confused by my the other organised Community Shoot organised on the Workshop Section $38ea on 1 Sep 2007 and this Newbie Studio Outing $28ea organised by generalsales on 20th Sep 2007.

This is 2 different studio shoot.

I'm facilitating generalsales with a model and the studio facilities on this 20th Sep 2007. This studio outing will cover a basic general informal training to the introduction of studio photography by myself and my partners. The introduction will includes a basic hands-on with some lightings setup. After which it will be followed by a 2hrs model shoot to practice on portraiture composition, etc. This is a ONE 1 time outing which I'm facilitating generalsales and his gang. Unless you all like my style of training, you all are welcome to engage me for your future outings.

On the other hand, on a regular basis in the workshop section. I'm organising Community Shooting priced at $38ea for those who love portraiture photography. And also occasionally there will also be sharing sessions, etc. These events is opened to all and will be organised under the CS Nick: StudioSpace.

This will be the last post I'll be posting in this thread unless necessary. This is to minimise confusion caused to some and also to minimise extra work to clarify by the organiser. I shall liase directly with generalsales from now.

For those who have missed out on my 1 Sep Community Shoot due to this confusion and would like to join in, do give me a PM. I'll see if I can open another special session just for this group if there is enough ppl.

I apologise for all the confusion.

For the first round have am glad to have skyetang to partner with us this round . i am being ans many calls asking me to orgainize such event . Hope we learn somthing from them . As we will be making it a regular outing for us newbies .like i say stay tune as i many be organize like product shoot keep tune of this tread as we ( generalsales ) will try to orgainize such outing . To those who are new dont worry , we have a night shoot outing on the 15th sepetmber ( pls look under newbie gathering part 2 ( night shoot ) dont worry it free . we have some shifu that will guide us along . so just act your name there .

Ok last post:

Packing List
- Your camera, preferably a SLR with hotshoe mount. CF cards for DSLR and films in ASA200 for film bodies.
- Lens of range from 28mm - 85mm. (Not required for real wide angles and zoom teles)
- For those who have a light meter, bring along and I shall teach you how to use it to meter studio lights
- Some paper to take notes if required, I'll see if I have the time to prepare some hardcopy notes.

Not necessary to bring, unless you want to ask me some question
- NO flash is requried as there will be strobes in the studio
- There will also be enough Radio/IR triggers to trigger the strobes available in the studio.
- Reflectors are also not necessary cos I have 2 giantic full body reflector in white/black/silver/gold/diffuser available.

My personal advise is just 1 lens and 1 camera body will do. Keep it light. And do remember to charge up your camera body batteries.
