Some FAQs:

i. Why on a weekday night?
Ans: This is because most weekends I'll already have scheduled them for shoots/rentals to some other organisers. As I'm not fulltime in the studio, the only way for me to make enough to cover my basic rentals & utilities is only the 4 weekends as such, weekends to me is more important. Hope you guys can understand.

ii. Why can I make it at this price of $28/head for 3-4hrs of rental including model.
Ans: When I first startup this studio, the purpose is to share and for community service. As most of you have known, I'm doing a lot of MO in CS. And definitely, it is a known fact that all my MOs does makes profit. As such, it is only right for me to contribute a portion back to the community where I makes money from. Since last year, I organised 1 mass shootout a yearly event, 'Sykestang Community Shootout' and it was well received and will be organising it again every year. This shootout is heavily subsidised by my partnering agencies & suppliers like CrossRoad Models, Lords Camera, and lastly myself. Not forgetting also a dedicated group of fellow CSers with big hearts helping out as volunteers. As such after last year event, I've set my mind to make it even bigger, as such have been looking for location suitable for studio and further cut down cost by self-reno etc (took me and my partners 3-4mths :bsmilie. The equipment deloyed in the studio are mostly from ex. unsold stock which I now putting them in good use. StudioSpace motto is not here to make big money, all we asked for is your continue support so that we can cover our running cost of ard $1600++ each month. And we'd try our best to make it beneficiary for you as well.

iii. What to expect in the near future?
I am working out with my partners to provide a photography sharing session 1-2 times a week. The photo skill sharing & experimenting sessions will be either offered FOC or minimal charge of $10/head to cover the basic running cost, depending on the theme, etc. Will discuss with the participants what to shoot before hand and together we'll pool in the resources, eg product shoot with glass, each participants will bring along some glassware and will sit together to discuss how to make the best photo out of that piece of glassware, where should the lightings be placed etc, then we'd experiment whether it can be done that way or not. It is a kind of hands experienting 'What If' hands on learning session. As such, together we'd share our knowledge, skills and styles of shooting, etc.

On top of that, will be opening classes on basic studio lightings setup, advanced studio lightings etc. Instructor will be a qualify photographer with good experience in teaching and years of experience in lightings, etc. Course will includes theory and actual practical hands on with a model. Hardcopy notes will also be given. Currently we're working on the notes.

We also welcome like-minded CSers willing to come forward to help in organising some of these activities. Personally I have to give praise to GeneralSales for his effort in organising the newbies shootout #1 & #2 and also this studio experience for newbies. Thus StudioSpace will definitely give our support in anyway for the success of these events. I would also like to suggest, a debrief and photo sharing session after each of these newbie outings. It would be a open critiques on the pictures taken during the outing and also sharing session. As least with the right critiques, each one will know where he/she stands. If you guys like the idea, I'm willing to sponsor my studio as the central location for this debrief sessions. I have proper projector and AV equipment for large projection. And for these workshop session, we should be able to hold ard 15-18 persons.
