For shot like the above, it'd be better go just slightly closer/tighter only ok...not too close, so long as the table 'lines'=woonden-planks/strips/lines and colors does not get in the way/orientation=created a unpleasant-illusion on the whole of the food-shot,...especially lines that goes against &/or not in harmony with the food, if any, were to occur:light:...yah...do note on this!!

Yes, this is 'the-tilt' that is workable...why??? Well, do you see or feel that the food is falling/gliding/sliding-over...hmmm...nope:nono:not in anyway for this particular food shot right...!!!!!

Well Anthony, this is a nice shot not:nono:bcos it's close/tight, instead, it's on the whole, in term of composition, bits & pieces of foods/colors being formed/framed diagonally across:thumbsup: as well as the bowl shown with nicely-balanced of 4-sides...which fall under all my 'taste-of-food-shots'.....well done:thumbsup:, c'mon...bro:cheers:
Hahaha...nearly forgotten to highlight you on some of those "Hotspot".....try your very BEST to get rid of it as much and as far as possible ok.....true enough abit of not so 'Distracting/unsightly-Hotspot" is very acceptable as not really need to have a 100%-Hotspot-Free foodshot, cos if one is experienced enough, you'll realize that some/appropriate hotspot do give these foods the sparkling/freshness/not-so-Dry as if food had been prepared for hours or even days liao ahhh...!!!

The only gripe
I find is please Do Not Use Disposable spoon/chopsticks/etc as props for taking food shot....as it's definitely much better:thumbsup: to do without:nono:, if Non-disposable utensils/cutlery weren't available during shoots...!!!!!blueskye168

Again and luckily this 'tilt' works too as on the whole, every items on that plate seemed 'Stayed-put' except a really very-very little bit on the egg-yolk seemed lobbed...just that very little that won't effect and I believed some may not even notice it if not highlighted, right...haha...!!!:thumbsup:
Just a tad on the perspective = angle of shot to be elevated slightly for a more comfortable and natural look then this, that appeared to be much compressed perspective...yah and the exposure is about 2/3 to 1.0 under liao hor...!!!

Yeah this is nice plate of Breakfast...except your exposure again is about 1/2 to 2/3-Stop of under-exposed liao hor, note on that...!!!
Hmmm.....well, just a side note, take this food-shot scenario with the 'genuine' folk, imagine now it is a plastic white/black/etc colors folk.....try your very best to imagine that and "placed-it" exactly that position and you'll know what I meant by saying earlier on for that Disposable curtly used is not preferred...yah...!!!!!!

As for the exposure, sometime I don't know is it my lappy problem or not... :think: I noticed the photo look a bit different from my lappy to my office desktop :sweat:
