You are too kind to give 3 1/2 stars ;p Was a total flop when I had it some 6 months ago but I told myself that's probably one of those (bad) days, though the standard has been dropping (and dropping) but as you put it, they are still better than most. So I went back again (twice) but that's it. I don't think I will be heading back any more. I guess that's the price to pay when one becomes too business-orientated with only profit-making in mind, a real pity.

wow... that bad ? It's actually still my favourite, but I have not tried for a long time ...

It was mine too (the Balestier outlet) but I don't know, it was (totally) different from what it used to be. The rice was overcooked and soggy (wet), my friends commented it tasted like glutinous rice in the dumpling. The chicken was acceptable (though bland and lacked of the sweetness) in one of those visits I mentioned above but the one I had right after CNY was really :thumbsd:. Perhaps most of the regular chefs were still on holidays?
Btw, I have only had the white chicken. I love their chili sauce though and the fried tofu was great too. I believe many still hold BTK as one of the best but not to me :)

I was struggling on how many stars to give for this:sweat:but end up considering it still better than most stall so I gave it 3 1/2 stars. If it was what it used to be I will even give a 4 1/2 stars haha

The rice used to be so fragrance that I could finished up the whole bowl of rice while waiting for them to serve the chicken :bsmilie:
As you mentioned it have been too business orientated, same goes to many other "Used to be very Yummy Stall" even most of our own hawker food don't taste as nice any more...

You all should try the one in Bukit Timah. The standard have remained the same throughout the years. I normally do takeaway nowadays, and have always been happy with what I got.

Braised Chicken Feet
Fei Lou Porridge
(Telok Blangah Crescent Food Centre)

They braised it long enough that just a gentle suck and the skin will just come off from the bone.
