Meet: around City Hall MRT

Architecture/Heritage

2. Supreme Courts, padang + view towards Raffles Place.
3. Singapore river + boat quay

Nature
1. walk toward Fort Canning and take trees and nature.

Heritage
1. British Command Post
2. Old Arch

People/Architecture
1. SMU
2. Raffles City
3. or NLB

One loop 3-4 hrs???

Yes, walk around will be good for newbie attempts as there are a lot of things to shoot along the way.

Chinatown + Little India + Arab Street will be a bit taxing. Not only tiring but we may not have enough time to cover all these places. The other time, we met quite early at Tg Pagar, had our breakfast and started walking along Robinson Road and reaching Marina Square around lunch time. We had our lunch at marina Square and continued to Arab Street. By the time we finished, it's already early evening. Moreover, for night shots you need a tripod which not all may have one and you would not want to carry a tripod along the way. Every single gram counts when you are exhausted.

Just my experience & 2 cents anyway.

Yup.... thats why it is only a suggestion. We could always reduce the place we are going. So, it could be Little India + Arab Street. Both of this place are near enough to each other. We could meet around 9-10am at one of the MRT station like Lavander station, and walk to Arab Street 1st. Then have lunch there. Contiune to Little India by foot or MRT. Don't forget that it could be quite intersting at the old 'thieves market' at Rochor Canal.

But we are open to all and any suggestion out there...... me like Landscape + Macro + Nature...... and place with any of these is fine by me.

Labrador park is also a good place..... but danm difficult to get to.

It's great to see so many participants for this newbie gathering.

Well, I have never meet any one before too, so I guess one easiest way to identify ourselves by looking at the equipments we'll be carrying. Haha...

One thing for sure, I will bring along my tripod. So look out for a bald uncle carrying a tripod walking around. Haha...

a) 17-35mm + 75-300mm + 60mm macro
b) 17-35mm + 75-300mm + 18-125mm

btw.... anyone bringing a Sigma 10-22mm or a Canon 10-20mm ?? Can lent see lent see or not.... ;p. Thinking of getting one but the cost is a killer

Sorry that I don't have the 10-22mm len.

As for what to bring, perhaps we can bring just a wide range of lens, so that we can try out different perspects of shots.

Bored Dad your shots are not bad what. At least better than mine. >.< However i would suggest that if there is only a 3hr time frame you guys planning to shoot, head down little india. Shoot only a single place, save some time for discussion and sharing. The first walk around shoot that i went with my friend it lasted abt 5 hrs and only covered like 3 places?
