PMed you my itinerary :)

I've been looking everywhere for a tree like that in a setting like that, I have not found it so far in all my travels. This is very well taken, absolutely love it. So zen...
33. Another view of Lake Wanaka with the much discussed tree in full view. I personally prefer picture 2 myself. What do you think?

35. Not exactly a scenic shot... picture of a distant cousin walking along Moeraki Beach with a tree branch.

IMO, footprints will have a better impact than a line from the branch. (understood that the sand if pretty packed, hence no footprint. :) )

Shooting with my 20D and the 10-22mm lens. I allowed quited a bit of overlap between photos which could have account for less distortion in the panorama ;)

I love your pics! Do you just load the pics using Photomerge in PS and stitch them up? Got to do anything before or after that?

I used Photomerge in PS, and probably added some contrast after that.

36. Another picture from the top of Mount John.

You are right. It's near Lake Tekapo.

Was told that is a very good place to capture pix of stars as it is dry and clear...

by the way, very nice pix!!!

Haven't posted a photo for quite some time. Since I have some time today, managed to dig out a photo taken by my wife on a Sony compact camera.

37. A reflection of the mountains at Mirror Lake, a stopover on the way back to Te Anau from Milford Sound. The reflection is quite spectacular. Too bad, I didn't bring along any GND filters as the contrast between the sky and the foreground is too great. However, the reflection is able to capture the colours of the sky while maintaining some detail of the foreground.

It's a great time to go there. The exchange rate is very attractive. When I went in Sep 07, 1.00 NZD is about 1.10 SGD. Now 1.00 SGD is about 1.20 NZD. Not sure if the air tickets are more expensive though.
