on the bottom right hand side of each photo page on Flickr, you will see ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.

it will show the name of the cam that you have used for that photo. for the settings, click on the "More Properties".

from the way you compose those shots. i think you'll make it good in no time. you just have to learn to use those functions on your cam. shoot more to learn more:)

would be better to have a closer shot as it is a bit plain. maybe a close-up can give the effect of "sleepyness". yawn, makes me wanna sleep...

it's good to try different genre as a beginner to find out what you are interested in and being good at. for this one, pic 2 has a pleasant composition. for insects, it'll be good to have them enlarged(macro) to illustrate unseen 'beauty'. but this is another set of investment.
