Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum here, I used to play with my old PENTEX SLR with the film type, slowly move ON to PnS camera with no satifaction on the picture I took, Now on hand I have a Canon powershoot SX5I after playing with this toys, I feel like moving ON to DSLR. Many People and Friends are using D90, Thinking of getting one to hold ON.

Care to share some experience with me my friends out there.
As compare to DSLR and SLR, What is so good about it??:)

DSLR:

Cons:
1) Have Crop factor
2)
3)

Pros
1)
2)
3)

Crop factor is not a "con"

One of the good points for digital format is that you're able to review your photographs immediately, hence cheaper to snap that shot as compared to using film.

You might find this a good read: http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/filmdig.htm

This is too generic and discussed many many times. You can read tons of reviews as to see what features and functions are implemented now into the bodies and decide whether that is useful to you. That's normal technology advance. But the basics of exposure have not changed, light is still the same. Still there are many people shooting film as a personal preference and style.
DSLR come in difference sensor sizes, better read up about Full Frame, APS-C and the others. None of them is a disadvantage (who would by it then?), the usefulness of tools depends on the purpose.

Maybe you want to rethink and rephrase your question?

The film vs. Digital debate is like beating a dead horse.

As for "crop factor", if you're unhappy with it, get a full-frame dslr.

Just follow your friend and get the D90 to hold on. Is the trend now. If you know how to play a SLR, you should hv no issue with a DSLR, is just with a "D" in front!

I have tried reading so some of the thread regarding DSLR especially D90 and basing on the info i got from other members plus going to the website to check the specification I am beginning to like it.

I suggest reading through some other threads as well. ;)

Welcome to CS, hope u will enjoy the transition trip from film to digital ;)
