I shot this batik dress in the National Museum's display cabinet, the external lighting condition was very dim, I held my camera as steady as I could and took 1/8 second for the shutter to close!

I shot these bicycles with a shutter speed of just 1/4 of a second!

Accept the limitations of this lens and you are going to love it. This lens is great for shooting photos for web use.
Tips: Always try to shoot using F8.0 whenever possible. Its sweet spot for crisp, sharp photos up to 14 inches (When viewed on my notebook's 14-in LCD display.)
All photos taken inside the Museum were untouched.
Anybody wishes to get a superzoom lens but does not want the associated distortions.. should really look elsewhere. This Tamron is NOT for you.
Perhaps the ONLY solution is to get primes lenses, say, one at 18mm, the other at 28mm, one at 35mm, one at 50mm, and another at 85mm, one more at 105mm, and another at 150mm, still one more at 200mm, and last but not least, one at 300mm!
Only then, there will be no distortions! But you have to lug 9 lenses with you!
As for me, one lens from 18mm-270mm zoom range, it's a dream lens!
