Parisilk: $667 before GST

Went to purchase the S5 (inclusive of the standard package that Canon gives) from TK Foto today. :lovegrin:

so u were the one!!! :bsmilie: i went at 3pm and they said they sold the last set a moment ago, left a piece with burnt pixel... anw, i got it from AP instead... got Kingston card instead of Sandisk... got Powerhaus 2100 mhA instead of GP... but a good price... :lovegrin:

That's odd, I got mine from Alan. They did say they only had a shipment of 5 though (I bought number 3) so maybe they've finished the initial shipment.

as what i have said over at tks thread, F2.8 is reeli a disappointment... any idea how to improve? even 17-40F4L could do better :lovegrin:

i guess it depends who is the person quoting. can try calling the amk hub one. normally jackson do the quoting, more standardised.

There is a guy (KSTOH) in Dpreview canon forum posting on the S5 IS. Not sure if he is in this forum as well.

The ISO800 photo does look cleaner as compared to the one on S3. Hmmm...there is indeed improvement though (just my personal comments).

f2.8 for a camera like this is actually quite good. To open it even more, the lens construciton would have to change, more glass in the lens, which means a bigger camera, price would increase.


I like that they give a proper lens cap with the camera.
