no release so people will stop shooting?

No release means people will start waiting
No release means people will start wondering
No release means people will start speculating
No release means people will start buying/selling
No release means people will start spreading xxx

add in your own list :bsmilie:

So, moral of the story, GO SHOOTING AND STOP PONDERING. ;)

That's what I mentioned in post #39......

Ok let me explain my statement. You can choose to believe or just take it as another crap.

1. Many hoping for an announcement of any new pro DSLR/s will be disappointed because nothing will be announced. Cos the date is not accurate so just be a little more patient, you will see it pretty soon and it will blow you off your feet ie. noise control, AF etc it will rock you. Nikon knows what you guys want, it is just getting it out perfectly, instead of marketing untested cameras and finding a fix later. FF or 1.5 crop? we will see - how about lenses we will see about it too? hahahaha ;)

2. I am sure many will be disappointed, because they have switched to other system which is "better" at this point in time. So time to switch back ? ;) no flame intended.

Who knows we may have a chance to test the new cam/cams and lenses in this outing? http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=278854   lets keep our fingers crossed

Well enough of rumour mongering.

Disclaimer: I will not be responsible for any suicides, murders, robberies etc for raising false hopes.

This info I'll keep close to my wallet ;)

more 2nd hand nikon stuff ? all go other camp :bsmilie:

so more 2nd hand gears and cheaper too. it will b a loyalty bonus for loyalist. after the loyalist buy up all the used gears, then only nikon will announce D747 or A380 with suffix FF. Then those ex-dark guys migrate back again. then the prices of all nikon gears shoots up like the stock market. loyalist then sell back the used gears to the same folks who sold it 2 mths ago n make a huge profit with an additional bonus n laugh all the way to the bank n ....

To keep the hope alive its only 7:50am 26th Jun in LA now.....

Ah Kiat: that article is NONSENSE. It's ripped off from Thom Hogan's SPECULATION page. Ignore it.

My bet? I will be very surprised if Sony lets Nikon use the FF sensor BEFORE they release their own pro model. :) Remember, Sony now has their own Alpha line to take care of... Besides, Sony has ALREADY shown their prototypes during PMA 2007 (Feb). If Sony releases their pro camera in early 2008, Nikon and Pentax will follow suit couple of months after that. This, I feel is the most likely scenario.

Then again, Nikon can also try to source for their 1.0x or 1.1x sensor from elsewhere, but that is quite unlikely.

PS: Heard from the John 3:16 guy that Nikon is releasing their AFS 50 f/1.2 lens later this year. Price won't be cheap though, likely more than $2000. This may be speculation.

PS2: Those of you who dream about the release of 15 new lenses from Nikon can continue to dream on. NO manufacturer has EVER been able to achieve that (factory limited) in the past few decades of photography. Even if they announce something like that, the actual release may take several years.... If the Thai factory cannot supply enough copies of a single 18-200 VR lens to meet world demand, how can it possibly cope with the release of 15 lenses???
